Who We Are
The GVFB provides assistance to approximately 16,000 people monthly across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore. We also provide food support to more than 130 community agencies such as housing agencies, women and children’s shelters, transition homes and after school programs, which in turn provide hot meals and snacks to thousands of people each week, including people who are unhoused.
Our mission is providing healthy food to those in need. Our vision is to create healthy communities through fair and effective food systems. Currently, the GVFB receives, purchases, and distributes 8 M lbs of food each year.

This is a full-time, permanent position, with the opportunity to learn and grow. The successful candidate can expect a competitive base salary of $53,000 – $55,000 annually, depending on experience.

Position Overview
The Database Coordinator works closely with the Database Specialist and reports to the Development Manager, performing administrative duties that support the fundraising efforts of the GVFB. The ideal candidate is proficient with Excel and has a combination of training, education, and/or experience in fundraising and donor relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides general assistance to the Development, Communications, and Community Engagement teams and provides a consistently high standard of donor service and care by addressing donor inquiries through phone calls and emails.
- Enters monetary and in-kind donations received by the GVFB using Raiser’s Edge and other fundraising CRM systems.
- Responsible for processing monthly PAD and credit card donations, importing online donations, issuing and mailing tax receipts, and running campaign and constituent reports as requested.
- Assists the Development team by making reactivation calls and managing the mailing of Impact Reports, acknowledgement letters, and donor welcome packages.
- Attends departmental meetings, records meeting minutes, and maintains the electronic and paper trails of important policies and procedures.
- Supports the Development team with prospect research and data collection.
- Completes other duties as assigned by the Development Manager.

Qualifications and Experience
- Experience with data entry and/or use of CRM systems, such as Raiser’s Edge.
- Highly skilled in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Proven experience in non-profit organization an asset.
