Fabric Bag Solution – Sewing Workshops

March 15, April 18, May 9, June 6, July 18, September 19, October 17 & November 21

Fabric Bag Solution is a volunteer based sewing group for people of all ages, and all levels of sewing ability, that brings people together to make reusable fabric shopping bags and reduce plastic shopping bag pollution in our communities.  At the monthly sew-a-thons, people have a place to connect, create and build a greener community.  Everyone brings their own sewing machine and scissor, pins etc.  There is one sewing machine available for those who don’t have access to a sewing machine but this is to be reserved ahead of time.

At these sew-a-thons, everyone gets to sew one bag to keep and the rest are donated to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.  If you can’t make it to a monthly meet-up, you are welcome to sew at home. These reusable bags are made from donated fabrics, clothing, household linens as well as textiles odds and ends, diverting textiles from the landfill.

To attend, everyone must rsvp by phone, text or email as we have limited seating.
