Fresh, local fruit for the WHOLE summer from Whole Foods Market!
There is absolutely nothing better than biting into a fresh, juicy peach or a perfectly ripe cherry from a local BC grower! Did you know almost 40% of the food provided by the GVFB is fresh? Thanks to the hard work of food bank farmer partners like Rai Produce in Osoyoos and Ken Witzke in Winfield, our community partner agencies and community food hub clients will receive healthy, local, fresh cherries, apricots, peaches, apples and pears for the whole summer.
We are thrilled to announce that this summer’s fresh, local fruit will be generously supported by Whole Foods Market. Committed to quality products, Whole Foods Market recognizes the importance of access to fresh produce, which our clients and partner agencies may not otherwise be able to afford.
Stay tuned for stories about our farmer partners and snapshots of our community enjoying summer’s bounty!
