Food for Thought | Spring Newsletter 2019
This spring we have noticed a troubling increase in the number of working people turning to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank for support. This number is rising at triple the rate of those with other income sources such as pensions and income assistance. That’s an 86% increase in working folks visiting the Food Bank during the past year.
We recognize the Food Bank was never set up as a long-term solution to solving hunger but the need persists. We are not a government agency and rely entirely on the incredible generosity and support of our community.
Thank you for your continued support!!

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank is especially grateful to Walmart Foundation for their $1.1M investment grant that allowed the initiative to grow.
