Group Food Sorts

Food sorting is an important behind the scenes role that helps us ensure the food that our clients receive is safe and organized, ready to go out to a distribution site.

During the session, we also provide an orientation to the work that we do here at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

Volunteering as a group is a great team-building activity!

Group size: 10 – 25 people
Where: Warehouse, 8345 Winston St, Burnaby, BC, V5A 2H3
Shift times: 9am – 12pm, 1 – 4pm and 5 – 8pm most days of the week
Commitment: We only ask that you commit to the shift(s) you sign up for
Main tasks: Sorting donated food in our warehouse, assisting with recycling and clean up.
Minimum age: 14 years old with a guardian present, otherwise 19 years old
Must be physically able to: Stand, bend, twist

To avoid disappointment, book now for the holiday season starting OCTOBER through to mid-JANUARY.

Last year group food sorts filled up by the end of September! We hope to see you soon.
