The Greater Vancouver Food Bank was set up as a temporary relief to the hunger crisis in 1983, but the need still exists today.
We receive no ongoing government funding and exist solely through the generosity of the public, our industry partners, and applicable grants. Each month we provide healthy food to around 15,000 individuals and families in need and 141 Community Agency Partners across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster and the North Shore. Our mission is to provide healthy food to those in need.

We Are Hiring!

No Food Drives
After much consideration, we are no longer accepting food collected from food drives. This decision applies to fresh food and non-perishables of all kinds. However, we are still accepting palletized food from food industry partners, such as retailers, wholesalers and farmers. For more information, visit the link below.

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank does NOT solicit door to door. If you encounter someone at your door asking for cash or food donations on behalf of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, please report to your local non-emergency police line.
