GVFB has been an incredible resource for us, always willing to show and teach us best practices for distribution and share their resources generously. The pallet program, in particular, has been a game-changer for our agency. It has allowed us to expand our capacity significantly and reach even more people in need out here in the valley. Thanks to this program, we’ve been able to add another food bank distribution day to our schedule, serving 180 more families. "The GVFB Pallet program has had a profound impact on the LCFB, significantly enhancing food distribution across the region. This initiative supports at least 6 food banks weekly, supplying essential provisions to community kitchens, 3 First Nations, and numerous community fridges in Lake Country and Kelowna. (8 schools, BGC/Senior Centre, Alliance Church) As a result, hundreds of individual families, seniors, schools, and those facing food insecurity- receive consistent access to nutritious food. By strengthening local food networks, this partnership ensures that vulnerable populations have reliable, dignified access to the sustenance they need."
