Role Overview:
The GVFB offers specialized nutrition packs: three Children’s Programs and the Seniors’ Program. Each bag your group assembles will be delivered to our distribution locations and help someone in need. .
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble nutrition packs with a specific number of items;
- Set up and take down the production line (tables, supplies, etc.);
- Restock the production line with food;
- Sweep and sanitize the packing area;
- Recycle packaging and compost spoiled food;
- Follow instructions, procedures, FIFO (First in, first out) and safety guidelines to help maintain the quality and safety of food and beverages;
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment;
- Assist with other warehouse-related duties assigned by Warehouse staff.
Core Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work in a busy and sometimes noisy environment where machinery may be operating during shifts;
- Strong attention to detail to ensure packs are assembled accurately and meet quality standards;
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently within established timelines to help keep the assembly line running smoothly;
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to support a safe and efficient workflow.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time;
- Capability to perform repetitive tasks;
- Ability to bend, twist, and lift up to 20 lbs safely;
- Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (typically set at 2 to 4 degrees Celsius). Jackets, gloves and toques are provided on-site;

- Monday – Tuesday, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
- Wednesday, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Shifts offered on select weeks only
