How to Get Started

Getting started is easier than you think.

Manage / Open a Donor Advised Fund

Many donors already have a Donor Advised Fund. If you do not have one but would like to open a Donor Advised Fund, please speak with your bank or financial advisor. GVFB is not affiliated with any financial or wealth management institutions so thereby cannot facilitate this process.

Recommend a grant

Direct a grant to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, in any amount, on your own timeline.

Suggested wording to your bank or financial advisor:

I would like to direct a grant to The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society, Charitable Registration Number 107449787 RR0001 - 8345 Winston Street, Burnaby, BC, V5A 2H3 in the sum of $_______ (or a description of the property or asset) through my donor advised funds for its charitable purposes.
