GVFB | Beyond Food – Charity Village Award

We are thrilled to announce that the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) has been recognized for its outstanding contributions in multiple areas of the nonprofit sector! At the recent Charity Village awards ceremony, the GVFB was honoured with several nominations, and we’re proud to share our achievements. 

• Winner – Best Nonprofit Employer – Fundraising Campaign (Over 20 Staff) 

• Finalist – Best Nonprofit – Volunteer Programs 

• Semi-Finalist – Best Contribution to Mental Health in the Workplace 

These recognitions highlight the hard work, dedication, and passion of everyone at GVFB—from our staff and volunteers to our supporters and partners. The Best Nonprofit Employer – Fundraising Campaign award celebrates our monthly giving program, from branding to donor engagement and our Full Heart Month Campaign, which took place in March 2024. The Full Heart Month campaign was dedicated to our monthly supporters to show appreciation and raise awareness about the importance of monthly donations and their impact. By introducing a matching donor, and engaging digital content throughout the month, the amplified impact successfully brought on 461 new monthly donors. These awards are a recognition of our achievements, and a reminder of the ongoing work needed to create meaningful change. As we continue to forward our mission of providing healthy foods to those in need, we are grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on our community and foster a workplace culture where all individuals are valued and supported.
