You are helping people like Patricia, a single mom with three kids.
She says, “I remember going to the Food Bank for one Christmas, we didn’t have anything and it was to get a turkey and put dinner on the table for my kids.
I didn’t even have a vehicle so I’m pushing a shopping cart home and that day it decided to snow and I remember crying all the way home and I said ‘next year’s going to be better, next year is going to be better.’
I’ll never forget that year because it was a tough year. But we all sat together at that table and we got to have the best Christmas dinner and I couldn’t have done it without the Food Bank.”
Stories like this are the reason the Food Bank exists. This is a very real example of the immediate impact you have with your kind and generous support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
